Meet Jodi Hunter. The artist behind Bombshell Beauty. Professional Makeup Artist based in South Dakota. She opened Bombshell Beauty Makeup Studio in September 2013. She began her career as a makeup artist working behind the counter for Clinique Cosmetics.
Fifteen years of experience in the makeup industry has led to her success. Her fun personality, skillful application and simple, yet beautiful makeup looks quickly earned her loyal clientele. "Everyday I get to come to work and make people feel good about themselves," Hunter said. "I love my job!"
Graduating from Stewart School of Cosmetology as a Licensed Esthetician, not only is she a Professional Makeup Artist, but also a Licensed Skin Care expert. She's certified in Microdermabrasion and Airbrush Makeup.
In April 2013 she followed her dreams to New York City where she applied and interviewed at The Makeup Forever Academy. She was accepted shortly after however decided to stay in South Dakota and build what we all now know and love, "Bombshell Beauty".
She is affiliated with several different national companies including NARS Cosmetics, MAC Cosmetics, Ilia Beauty, Anastasia Beverly Hills and several more. Each year she attends the International Makeup Artist Trade Show to continue her education with new products and techniques.
A highlight in her career was the opportunity to meet long time idol Francesca Tolot at The International Makeup Artist Trade Show in 2011. Shortly after that, she was able to meet a few more idols including Pat McGrath, Patrick Ta, Ve Neill, and long time favorite beauty guru, Nicole Guerrerio.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING MAKEUP?
I've been in business for 10 years. I've been in the beauty industry over 15 years.
WHERE IS YOUR STUDIO?
Downtown Brookings. It's on 5th street right near Nick's Burgers. Give it a google and it will lead you right there.
ARE YOU PROFESSIONALLY LICENSED?
Yes! I take great pride in being professionally licensed in the state of South Dakota.
HAVE YOU DONE MAKEUP ON CELEBRITIES BEFORE?
I feel very fortunate to say, YES! I've had the pleasure of doing makeup on several celebrities as well as some local celebrities here in South Dakota. I've done makeup for "Uncle Joey" (Dave Coulier) from the hit tv show, "Full House". I've done makeup for America Ferrera from the hit tv show, "Ugly Betty". I've also had the pleasure of doing makeup for Chloe Lukasiak from the hit tv show "Dance Moms".
WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL?
I obtained my licensure from Stewart School of Cosmetology in Sioux Falls, SD. I've also taken continued education courses at The Makeup Forever Academy in New York City.
WHAT TYPE OF PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
I use most of the top brands on the market today. Some of my favorites include Charlotte Tilbury, Fenty Beauty, Anastasia Beverly Hills, MAC, Givenchy, and Dior.
